Located south of Malmo, Sweden, on a seaside summer resort, this lovely summer house belongs to a young couple. Modern, yet suitable for a flexible family life, it features a traditional 1.5 story structure, which is very common in the south of Sweden.
A traditional saddle roof combines beautifully with a calm, contemporary design. Large glazed sliding doors and crisp dormers are reinforced within the timber frame; they open up this vacation home both over the corners and up through the first floor, diffusing and connecting the two levels.
Inside, the house is bright and filled with natural light; I love how the bright interiors complete the dark exterior of the house – White walls, kitchen and storage and light wooden floors combined with a hint of black at the front door and the large window frames and glazed openings.
