Designed by Vietnamese Vo Trong Nghia Co., the wind and water bar (wNw) has been proposed as a temporary, low-cost, high speed construction prefab model for flood-stricken areas in Vietnam.
This environment-friendly prefab is a structural bamboo arch system with 10m in height, spanning 15m in length.
The main frame is made from 48 units of local bamboo and the roof is covered with sheets that are made from leaves.
“…the wNw bar seems to be born from the nature, harmony with the nature and return to the nature.”
The man-made lake provides this sustainable structure with natural air-ventilation while hot air exits through a 1.5m diameter hole in the roof top.
