Featuring a prominent modular arc component, this sustainable home is inspired by a semi-circular bicycle shelter and bike rack by Palo Alto-based Bellomo Architects. It’s actually an affordable housing solution that is prefabricated in a factory and shipped to the site to be erected by the user or community.
Designed to be based on concrete piers or a wooden deck, the House Arc is lightweight and easy to transport.
The structure can also be used off-the-grid due to the fact that its tubular steel armature is sheathed in translucent polycarbonate plastic coated with a solar film.
Well it’s prettier then a shed and about half as useful.
