Situated on a family retreat in the Catskill Mountains, this simple structure serves as a library. Just look at this place… who wouldn’t want to read and expand their horizons while gazing at trees?
On the first floor, this cube-shaped structure contains a vast library, which stores approx. 10,000 books for a scholar of Japanese history.
The top floor consists of a study space. For me, the most prominent feature of this independent building is its surrounding glass windows; see how they open to create a windowless wall so you could almost touch the leaves, while the roof seems to float up above.
