What once was a single story house has been beautifully renovated and extended into a two level modern home. Four contemporary glass temples emerge from a white stucco plinth, bringing volumes of natural light to the interior during the day, and glowing in the landscape at night.
The new glass volumes are stitched together by a Black circulation core that cradles and defines each space. I think this home extension is wonderful; conservative vs. contemporary; Black vs. White; the combination of various materials, such as stucco, metal and glass. I simply love the breathtaking effect of the living room double height glass wall – impressively grand.
