Kelly Rae and Pam Haberman of HabeRae Properties are buying old run down houses inside the urban core of Reno and turning them into tiny, beautiful urban infill homes – “small style with big amenities”.
Built on a parceled lot in Old Southwest Reno, 2 on Watt is a fine example of urban infill. This project consists of two charming, cottage style homes, standing side by side with private back yards and public front porches. Both houses are small yet they “fit” beautifully into the older, tree lined neighborhood. Each home has washer/dryer combos, custom tile, beautiful mahogany floors and an abundance of light.
Their second project, called 2 More on Watt, transformed two century-old farmhouses, dating back to the early 1900’s, into beautiful tiny homes full of character. One house is only 160 sq. ft., serving as a studio home with travertine stone, a nice front porch, custom shower/bath, a mini- kitchenette, new insulation and energy efficient windows.
The second house is 450 sq. ft. with new espresso finish cabinetry, mosaic tile and modern brushed nickel finished faucets in the kitchen and bathroom; new insulation and energy efficient windows and on the outside a nice front porch, picket fence and entrance arbor.
Now, who says small isn’t pretty?
