Sometimes you wonder just how much cuter can a concept, an idea, a space can get, until you stumble upon something that blows your mind in the sweetest of ways. I mean, just look at this little tin house in its perfect classic shape with a triangular roof and all, a little porch and wooden details to totally make out with the grey metallic, semi shiny texture of the metal “skeleton”!
And then just dare to take a step inside, after walking a bit on the yard’s gravel and the porch’s reclaimed wooden floors to be confronted with a totally serene white interior, wooden accessories, stools standing on metal legs and a giant fork and spoon resting on the wall!
When the owners of what is a tea house or room – serving delicious I’m sure tea, cakes and sandwiches not on conventional weekdays as probably expected but only on weekends and holidays – envisioned and then realized this project, tones of appetite, taste and love must have been gathered together.
After all, it comes as no surprise that it’s actually part of a broader concept involving a store. Not any kind of store, but one set in a series of farm (!) buildings in the Herefordshire countryside, where the collection is constantly and ever changing, with the only stable characteristic being that all things new and old chosen to sold are simple, beautiful and useful.
And if you, like me, seem to be living in the wrong part of the world in order to pay an immediate visit, we can at least compensate ourselves by visiting their online store. I’ll personally dive just a little bit more in the pictures. I’m in love!
