PostCarden is yet another charming pop up design from UK-based Another Studio. It’s actually a mini garden you can send in the post to friends and loved ones – and what a wonderful gift it is!
Check out the adorable short movie below directed and edited by Stacey Yates.
Here’s also a bit on behind the scenes:
“For me the heart of any project lies in the creative process that leads to the final outcome. This film began with a long chat about what people love about PostCarden. From all the feedback we’ve received over the years, we felt that what people most love is receiving something in the post (that’s not a bill!) In a digital age it’s becoming more unusual to receive posted mail so PostCarden is both a suprise and a delight.
We are very proud that PostCarden is entirely produced in Britain so this was something we wanted to emphasise through the film. So, out went the initial plan to jet off to a tropical island for the shoot, instead we settled on leafy Epping Forest on the edge of London.
Once the script was finished the team scouted for the perfect locations. Props were bought, a house borrowed, models persuaded to rise at 6am, a van hired. We carried a portable post box here and there and everywhere, biscuits were eaten, PostCardens repeatedly dropped through letter boxes (for the ‘perfect fall’), seeds scattered, time lapses set, footage was reviewed, cut and edited. Last of all the music was produced and added in!”
Great work, you guys – I can’t wait to check my mail and see perhaps a small gift is waiting for me…
