There is something amazing about the iPad, but quality of sound is not it. But that’s excusable; I’m sure it’s a great agony of industrial designers to sacrifice certain features to emphasize others. So perhaps it was the Retina display that got all the attention of Jonathan Ive, the lead designer at Apple. But leave it to the third-party designers to pickup where Apple had to leave something behind.
The Boompack, by sound designers IN2UIT, gives the iPad what it needs, or what we need, as far as good sound goes.
Actually a case, or a set of speakers, or both at once, the Boompack at least triples the sound level of your iPad. What the Apple tablet is really good for is compact performance, and it’s not like the Boompack suddenly adds too many extra inches to your iPad. Your whole iPad work experience will now be compact, Retina-ready, and with the Boompack, sonically sufficient.
