How would you like to be the new owner of this small “mansion” located on the second floor of one of the most wanted addresses in Stockholm? I wouldn’t mind at all to have a city place like that and I have reasons to believe I’m not alone in that. Bond street is a mostly loved location for its amazing properties much like this charming, oddly shaped apartment.
Despite it being rather oddly shaped as you can see in the floor plan, it manages to contain all the basic functions tucked in a rather small space, thanks to its clever layout including a compact gallery section. There the sleeping corner is established, leaving plenty of room for a living under it, while giving to the apartment a pleasant loft character.
The kitchen is definitely the heart of the house here, as it is situated in what seems to be the middle of the apartment and cause of the care that has been put into the making of it. Electrical appliances of the latest technology are combined with simple, sleek, white furniture with glossy fronts, which are reflecting the pretty light that streams in from the window.
The back-splash in fresh green parsley designs and the black shiny working surface bring contrast and life. Additionally there is even enough space for a beautiful wooden dining table.
Moving into the main room which is the living room, what catches my eye is the clever way with which the space above the radiator has been used, transforming it into a desk, taking advantage of all the light that generously comes in from the window. A set of the simplest of Ikea chests of drawers provides storage space, while the floor seems to be not underestimated at all as functional surface where objects can be placed, such as art, magazines and small decorative statues.
Finally, the bathroom, fully renovated features white, rectangular, ceramic tiles which give a more spacious feeling, with a shower having been created in the apartment’s sharpest corner. All in all a charming and carefully planned apartment design in the heart of Stockholm.
