Were I to be a little more disciplined with exercise, the Armour39 from Under Armour is what I would buy, or maybe it’s what I need to access some of that discipline. Even better, the Armour39 is the first product to measure something we might call “WILLpower.” The Armour39 breaks your workout down into a 0.0 to 10.0 scale that estimates how hard your body worked during your exercise regime.
The Armour39 may be the closest thing the everyday person has to those super secret sports medicine devices that only the most prestigious athletes get to test with. Using a chest strap, module, iPhone app, and watch, the Armour39 system constantly monitors what seems like every aspect of your body’s performance when you’re running or lifting weights, or, I suppose, when you’re eating.
In every way, the Armour39 seems to be designed to end the tyranny of the personal trainer. It makes it even easier for you to set a specific workout, monitor the workout instantaneously, and do so all in the venue you prefer. No longer do you have to be scolded by Bruno the thick-necked trainer.
