The amazing creative duo Jonas Bjerre and Kasper Ronn from Norm architects need little if any introduction at all to those interested in design, architecture and interiors. I would like to share with you today their latest innovation, the “flip around” stool, which has already become a favorite in many design magazines.
Behind a beautiful, sleek and modern interpretation of our very much needed stool or side table, lies a brilliant idea: this of creating objects with more than one function simultaneously. Be it lack of space or simply the desire to live simply without crowding our living spaces with too many things, two-in-one and three-in-one objects have become very popular.
The flip around stool thrives in offering three functions: that of a stool to serve an unexpected but so welcome guest of yours, that of a side table to place your magazines and tablet while next to the sofa, and last but not least, that of a tray to carry your favorite drinks and snacks from the kitchen to the living room, the veranda or vice versa.
Made from high quality ash wood and plastic, it measures 14 x 18 inches and it is destined to be your home’s invisible but super effective butler. Asides its functionality, the way it has been beautifully produced attracts me the most. Attention to details, like these awesomely curved legs made from the nicest of woods – at least for my taste – combined with chic back for the tray or top of the stool and table. It would make a perfect match in our living room, making the “wish list” just at least an object longer… one that seems so worth it to acquire.
