Always it is true that the simpler design tends to be better than the more ornate and complicated. The x3 Watering Can satisfies this specification and then some. Manufactured from three pieces of copper, brass, or stainless steel, the x3 is a functional but nevertheless beautiful object and tool. The handle and spout are the same piece of metal that has been bent in three places to create a continuous form, hence the name: x3.
The basic form of the award winning x3 is a larger cylinder of metal for the main container on which a smaller sphere sits through which you fill the can. The final element is the single piece that runs through the body of the can, the piece that defines its form.
Consistent with most watering cans, the x3 can be held at two points: the handle for pouring and above the can for carrying.
While the copper and brass editions of the x3 are finished with the original color of their metals, the stainless steel version is available in green, white, blue, or a deep red.
The x3 has a renewed antique quality to it, but it would certainly fit in a modern household with its bare and functional design.
