I have extremely high expectations for the apartment of a lifestyle stylist and this fresh faced charmer in Stockholm does not disappoint. Johanna Laskey has created a home that oozes comfort and style without a single drop of pretension.
You’ll immediately know that the apartment’s owner has a creatively keen eye. The lounge’s worn velvety wood floors gather a black steel chair and a two-tiered circular charcoal wooden table. The casually fluffy white sofa blends in to the walls save for the colorful graphic pillows that give it away. A glossy white floating cabinet is elegant and functional.
Confidently arranged art lines the walls opposite the pair of three paneled sea blue doors that separate the lounge and the bedroom. A simple white crown molding frames the crystal chandelier.
The central studio area sports a desk crafted of a white slab resting on delicate saw horses. Here the wood floors are painted glossy white and reflect day light from windows in the lounge and the kitchen opposite. There’s even a window above the desk.
The kitchen and dinette’s floor is reflecting pool black. It creeps up the walls in the grout of the large white tile that smartly extends to the ceiling. Shelving, stainless, and butcher block continue the fresh feel and I particularly love the seemingly fragile metal cabinet legs. And every kitchen should have a bench for guests!
