Imagine a world where all banks treated their clients like royalty. Well that starts here in the new bank building of Piguet Galland in Geneva, Switzerland. CompactLab, in partnership with the new building’s architect, BR Architects and Associates, created a multi-sensory experience in a modern castle.
From the moment you park your car until you reach your private meeting room, discreet classic and contemporary jazz enhances the interior design. Clients are greeted in the immense blue and white lobby where black painted columns, live plants, and suspended light fixtures give you a feeling of the forest.
Green makes you feel at home in the private reception rooms. Secret spaces for safe deposit boxes and vaults are royal purple and sumptuous rich red. To further enhance your experience they developed fragrances that are easy and fresh and vibrant on the ground floor. The vault’s fragrance is warm, lively, and mysterious.
Since the bank only does business within Switzerland, the interior furnishings are mostly designed and fabricated by Swiss companies. I love the variety in the three large meeting rooms – classical, casual, and my personal favorite is the flamboyant! I’m certain there’s one that every client will love.
To drop a few names, you’ll find pieces by Philippe Cramer, Atelier Oï, and Modimex in the meeting rooms. The reception areas follow suit with furnishings from Vitra et Pfister created reception area furnishings, rugs and carpets are by Bernese designer Ruckstuhl, and the storage and desks are made by USM.
It’s a bank where all your financial and design dreams can be fulfilled.
