Inspired by old 1960s film The World of Suzie Wong, with its depictions of the innumerable ornaments of Hong Kong architecture and design, the Chou Lamp is a reworking of a classic Chinese lantern.
Smooth and simple, the Chou Lamp replicates the cylindrical Chinese Lanterns that we all know. While the lamp is made of a thin wood frame, it is modeled after the iconic paper lanterns that still hang from shops with peaked roofs.
Interestingly, though, the Chou lamps are made to be placed on the floor and light up rather than from below. In this way, they are like cisterns or vases on the ground with the radiance of light growing out of them.
Designed by Yonoh studio, the Chou lamp collection is available in a huge array of colors for just about any interior design combination you want.
