“Une Belle Escapade”, translated into English means “a lovely getaway”. Le Chalet Zannier certainly fits this delightful description. Nestled in the French Alps and comprised of three Alpine style chalets, these sumptuously designed suites are meant for luxurious relaxation.
Subtle colors of the outdoors translate easily into the interiors, moss green and claret Belgian linen slipcovers and rough-hewn wall beams are visible throughout the spaces. Simple taupe draperies frame the dramatic views from windows to the surrounding countryside of Megreve. Rooms come equipped with fireplaces, each unique and with consideration to the style of the room. They also feature a balcony or terrace to enjoy morning coffee or an evening aperitif.
One of my favorite spots is Suite #1. On the first floor there is a welcoming entrance hall and living room with open fireplace. There is also an en-suite dining area and office and master bedroom with king size bed. The second floor houses a junior suite with a king size bed that can be transformed into twin beds for families with children.
In addition to the twelve tastefully appointed suites, there is also a private cottage available by the week. Amenities include skiing, a wellness center and the restaurant, La Ferme de Mon Pere, run by experienced chef Julien Burlat.
