Just a stone’s throw from Paris’ Arc de Triomphe, you’ll be fortunate to discover the Hidden Hotel. This urban oasis seems to have been plucked from a bohemian luxury resort or a nature spa. Either way, you’ll be rejuvenated by the serene interiors the moment you step inside.
The reception area, like the facade, is lined with reclaimed and raw timbers with a patina you can’t duplicate. Generous and mottled tile slabs unite the public areas including the communal table dining room, the tiny patio with a gravel floor, and the smoking room for cigar amateurs. The cocktail lounge sports a studded leather wall and the bar itself is made of bands of sheet steel separated by deep reveals and topped with a chunky wood slab.
These amenities are serene and organic and frankly, they merely hint at the private rooms above. Choose from four room types, with balconies, bathtub or Italian shower.
Each room is a haven of natural materials. Floors of honey colored wood or serene clouded tiles wrap up the walls. Gauzy linen draperies float around the beds. Spare modern metal furnishings discreetly support must-have amenities. Sinks carved from marble or giant stones add texture and drama.
The Exception rooms are exceptional. A queen bed shares the space with a waist high stone sink. A tree trunk stool also holds towels. Giant carved stone tubs or polished stone showers with rain heads will make you extend your stay.
