Workstead is the brainchild of Brooklyn-based design firm of Robert Highsmith and Stefanie Brechnuehler. The focus of this highly evolved team is on architectural and interior design, lighting and furniture. These fascinating light fixtures are crafted from re-purposed hardware and new steel and brass sockets. The pieces were originally used for industrial workbench lighting that have been reborn into these intriguing yet functional light fixtures.
The Bent Chandelier has three bent arms that can be articulated in several directions allowing for 360 degrees of rotation. This allows for the chandelier to be unique in whatever environment it is placed.
Materials consist of cast iron, steel, brass and are hung with a strong twisted cotton cord. Weighing in at a mere 15 lbs., this chandelier adds a touch of modernity to any space.
The Wall Lamp is considered to be the most versatile piece in the collection. It can be used as a wall sconce, reading lamp, ceiling lamp or task light. The black steel shades add a pop of glamour to this mostly utilitarian fixture.
