If you have ever Googled the Google head office, you would be amazed. That’s how we felt when we stumbled upon the Prointel Office Renovation – amazed! This independent TV production company located in Madrid, Spain was originally constructed in the 70’s, and was recently renovated by AGi Architects, giving it both a fresh look along with a renewed corporate identity.
Paying homage to the original structure, this multi-functional office space still blends beautifully amidst the small business district it’s located within, while standing out unassumingly in its originality.
With the desire from the onset being to bring a portion of the indoor office space outdoors, and to allow for natural light to flood the space, AGi connected the two working environments by unifying the outdoor cement flooring and bringing it inside.
Along with that objective, retractable windowed walls were installed, brilliantly completing a portion of their mission with a ‘business in the front, party in the back’ feel, but without any loss of integrity to the spirit of this professional setting.
Additionally, throughout the structure, a variety of colorful seating types can be found, along with a splash of intermittent yellow shelving, complimenting the patterned ceramic tiled flooring running throughout the space.
AGi Architects definitely succeeded in creating a space where collective minds could collaborate, outdoor space could be optimally utilized, and natural light could filter in while shedding energy consumption.
If a high-five was the new handshake for a job well done in the professional world, we would definitely hand out a round of high-fives for this renovation project!
