We are all learning to live more ecologically responsible lives and luckily there are many great inventions that make it even easier. A wonderful example of green innovation is the Reusable Nespresso Capsule by My Coffee Star. The capsule won the prestigious “Best of the best award” at the Red Dot Design awards in 2015 and is also the “Gold winner“ of the International Design Awards (IDA) 2015.
The Reusable Nespresso Capsule is amazing on many levels- first, it is made of medical grade stainless steel and is the only one in the world that doesn’t emit any toxins. Second, by switching to the Capsule, you will stop throwing away capsules, and can do your part in reducing some of the 8,000 tons of aluminum waste generated every year. Third, you can save lots of money. Compared to pre-packed capsules, you can save at least $500 annually, and since the Capsule will last a lifetime, you never have to buy another. Finally, the Capsule enables you to create your own wonderful coffee blends and use them in your Nespresso machine.
The Capsule was designed in 3 pieces so that it can be shipped ecologically in a small envelope thus reducing packaging and waste. Wonderful.
