The transformation of the Chiado Apartment is nothing short of epic. This once teardown worthy dwelling is now teaming with new life and fashionable refurbished livability.
Located in Lisbon, Portugal, the project team of Filipe Magalhães, Ana Luisa Soares, Ahmed Belkhodja and Ana Lima pulled this property out of certain doom into heavenly heights.
As a turn of the 19th century apartment, it sits at 120m2, with a single half-circular plan coming full circle to make the space unique, without making it an odd use of space. The living area offers 3 dimensions of space, while still bringing it together as one livable area.
The original ornate plastered ceiling was left intact, enhanced by accents of a brilliant shade of blue on the shutters and doorways throughout.
These elongated pieces are truly a standalone work of art, and the brushed silver pillars offer a gleam of confidence within this modernized space. The textures, contrast and materials used deliver a brilliant outcome, and has transformed this has-been apartment into the what’s what of Lisbon!
