Set in Lisbon, Portugal, the Graca Apartment is composed of a variety of small rooms and narrow spaces, but refurbished in a way that makes it feel comfortable to live in. In addition, despite the lack of natural light and an exterior bathroom, this space has been brought to light with rich black and white marble tones, an outdoor patio oasis, and clean-lined furnishings.
Combining the living and dining area within a long narrow space, a large round mirror breaks up the elongated nature of the room, giving it depth and enhancing the light as well. Hand-painted doors run the length of the hall in a variety of blue hues, and the simple bedroom space is set off a surprising courtyard uncommon for a second-story apartment in the area.
Despite the fragmented living, dining, sleeping and bathing areas, this apartment has been pulled together beautifully, giving it a feeling of adventuresome tranquility that is sure to tickle anyone’s fancy.
