Bergen Street Studio, the architects of this Brooklyn, NY townhouse, did not run out of steam after restoring and reconstructing the landmarked facade. Today we are flying North direction Sweden and we are making a stop at the beautiful Scandinavian country’s capital, Stockholm. Our aim is to visit Nordstrom Townhouse. You’ll be dazzled and smitten the minute you feel the color combinations in this tiny Swedish studio apartment foyer. London is one of the most interesting, diverse, and fabulous cities in the world and I’d pack my bags if I could live here. So in plan it stacks up like this…floor one has a kitchen and dinette, movie room, bath, and utility. Up on floor two you’ll find the living room. Originally built in 1978, this summer house in Moja, Sweden used to have a rather claustrophobic feel, due to its many walls and lack of natural light. A fireplace positioned in a non favorable manner was another issue. Beautifully renovated, this project shows what wonders tearing down walls and buckets of white paint (…and a wonderful sense of design) can do! Continue reading →
