The respect used to carry out the rebirth of this stone house in Spain is immense and immediately apparent. Dom Arquitectura wove together traditional building methods with modern materials, fixtures, and planning. The three story house was rebuilt and restored from the outside to the inside. Reclaimed flag stones create a welcome garden entrance. Inside and outside where moisture was an issue the original stone walls were rendered with mortar. This Hyde Park, London residence has been given a new lease on life through the blend of classical spaces and modern sensibilities. The picturesque village of Green Gables is located in Sundbyberg, Sweden. This vibrant community has been built with respect for children and families, with low impact structures, restricted traffic and close proximity to daycare, schools, gym and a health center.

The first phase of this “garden city” will house 63 families, each with their own small garden plot and a central communal square with a grove of old growth Birch trees.
